The Supreme Political Council of Yemen's rebel group Houthis condemned on Tuesday Israel's renewed attacks on Gaza, vowing to "escalate the confrontation" in response.
"We condemn the Zionist enemy's resumption of aggression against the Gaza Strip," the group told Agence France-Presse in a statement, adding that the Palestinian people "will not be left alone in this battle, and Yemen will continue its support and assistance, and escalate confrontation steps."
The rebel group previously warned of escalating attacks in the Red Sea in solidarity with Gaza after temporarily reducing the strikes during the ceasefire period. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces resumed its attacks on Gaza last night, with the death toll reaching 330, according to the Hamas-controlled Palestinian Health Ministry.
