Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that the Middle East is facing a "full-scale catastrophe" amid continuing escalation between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
"If unchecked, the world will face catastrophic consequences," Araghchi told reporters at the United Nations, as cited by the Times of Israel. He reiterated Iran's support for Lebanon, saying Tehran will stand with its people "with all means."
Earlier, Aragchi met with the United Kingdom's Foreign Secretary David Lammy and told him that "Israeli attacks must cease immediately," while urging Israel's "enablers" to "act before it is too late."
