Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian declared that the actions of Israel "state terrorism" in Lebanon, which has led to thousands of victims in recent days, "cannot go unanswered."
At the 79th United Nations General Assembly, Pezeshkian emphasized that the governments obstructing efforts to resolve the crisis in the Middle East are responsible for its continuation. He also criticized that Israel claims to be a "champion" in the protection of human rights.
Pezeshkian stressed that the only solution to the long-standing conflict in the region is the restoration of Palestinians' right to self-determination, proposing that both Palestinians in their homeland and those in the diaspora determine their future.
