The Nahal Brigade of the Israeli military claimed on Saturday to have killed 250 Hamas fighters in the central Gaza Strip within a fortnight, Al Jazeera reported.
According to the statement, those deaths included casualties that occurred during air strikes, tank fire attacks, and close-quarter combat. Earlier, it was known that the Gaza death toll from the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel reached 31,553.
In another corner of the conflict, the Israeli Defense Forces reported having "neutralized" a person who "opened fire toward a Jewish community" in the West Bank city of Hebron.
