Israel has recently identified an "unusual incident" that may signal that Hamas may be preparing for new strikes, Israel's Channel 12 reported on Monday, citing a report that it says was approved for publication by the military censor.

According to the report, Israel detected "a sharp rise" in Palestinian militant group's efforts to conduct attacks targeting Gaza border communities and Israeli troops stationed inside the Strip.

Furthermore, the report quotes Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz telling residents of border communities that "Hamas has sustained a heavy blow, but has not been defeated" and that the group "is constantly gearing up to carry out a renewed raid into Israel, similar to October 7."
