The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday its troops killed a Hamas commander, Muhammad Abu Hasna, during its operation in the Gazan city of Rafah.
According to the IDF's post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Hasna engaged in "integrating extensive activity of the various Hamas units, was in contact with the field operatives of Hamas and directed them."
"The attack was carried out following accurate intelligence information from Aman [Israeli Military Intelligence] and the Shin Bet [Israel Security Agency]," it added.
