Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced on Wednesday that the Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations, also known as Mossad, and the Brazilian Federal Police (DPF) obstructed Hezbollah's planned attack in the South American country.
The office added that Iran supported and indirectly organized the scheme.
"The Mossad thanks the Brazilian security services for the arrest of a terrorist cell that was operated by Hezbollah in order to carry out an attack on Israeli and Jewish targets in Brazil," its post on X, formerly known as Twitter, read.
