British Foreign Secretary David Cameron told members of Parliament on Tuesday that he is "worried" that Israel has acted in breach of international law in Gaza but he did not confirm that received opinions on the matter from government lawyers. He also avoided answering whether the British government considers the Gaza Strip as occupied by Israel.

Cameron said Israel "needs to do a lot more to get more aid into Gaza" and that it should end water supply restrictions in northern Gaza because "the conflict is effectively over" in the region. He also criticized the Israeli Ambassador to the United Kingdom Tzipi Hotovely for supporting the "destruction" of Gaza, stating that he hopes it is not the position of the Israeli government "because it is the wrong position."
