John Ratcliffe sworn in as CIA chief

John Ratcliffe has been sworn in as chief of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) by United States Vice President JD Vance.

"John is a great patriot, a guy that has the trust of the president, and really believes deeply in the mission of keeping Americans safe, in a way that ensures the American people have confidence in our national intelligence services," Vance said.

Ratcliffe gave no remarks, which Vance joked was because "every piece of knowledge in his brain is actually classified."
