Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Thursday held a phone conversation with his British counterpart John Healey and informed him that Israel will act with force to prevent Iran from continuing to smuggle weapons into Lebanon.

According to Israel's Defense Ministry's statement, Katz ensured that Iran is still trying to establish new fronts against Israel, adding that his country will respond forcefully to any violation of the ceasefire with Hezbollah that took effect on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Katz told Healey that Israel's priority is the release of all hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip and that he hopes that the United Kingdom will stand against any proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza that does not include the freeing of the remaining captives.
