Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, released a statement denying Kiev's involvement in the Crocus City Hall incident in the Moscow region that occurred on Friday evening.

"It makes no sense whatsoever," Podolyak said. "Ukraine has never resorted to the use of terrorist methods. It is always pointless," he added, stressing that there have been public warnings from foreign embassies in Moscow that an incident like the one in the concert hall could occur.

Podolyak stated that there is "no doubt" that Moscow will use this "event" to spread "military propaganda" and "justify genocidal strikes" in Ukraine.
