Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky slammed on Monday Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico, who recently met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, underling that his dependency on Moscow is a "big security issue" for Europe.
"Moscow provides significant discounts to Fico, but Slovakia pays for them. Such discounts are not free, payments to Russia are made through sovereignty or murky schemes," the head of Ukraine wrote in a post on X.
Zelensky further accused Fico of going against European energy independence plans, adding that the latter's wish seems to be to help Putin fund the war. The Ukrainian president stressed that the Slovakian prime minister aims to continue working with Russia as that benefits him.
