Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on Thursday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is open to expanding contacts with the United States.
The Kremlin representative told the press that Putin has repeatedly said he is ready to establish contact with "everyone," but always based on respect and equality. "President Putin has been and remains open to such contacts," Peskov added.
The comment comes after Donald Trump won the presidential election in the US. Earlier, Peskov stated that a call between Putin and newly elected President Donald Trump before the inauguration is "not excluded."
