United States Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Thursday that he doesn't expect the government to shut down.

Speaking to Fox News, McConnell expressed his optimism for funding to be continued, noting that it "doesn't make sense" to shut down the government over the opposition of COVID vaccine mandates.

Yesterday, the White House accused some Republicans of advocating for a shutdown, alleging that they want around 20% of the population to be able to fully infect other members with the coronavirus.
