Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni promised on Sunday in a video message that she is prepared to help Italian businesses as uncertainty around the world economy is growing over the United States tariffs.

"We did not, of course, agree with the decision of the United States, but we are ready to deploy all the tools, in terms of negotiations and economically, needed to support our businesses and sectors that could be penalized," she stated.

Meanwhile, Italian media reported that Meloni could potentially meet with US President Donald Trump in the week starting April 14.
