Microsoft Corporation and Atom Computing are planning to launch a commercial quantum machine featuring over 1,000 physical qubits in 2025, the former unveiled at its 2024 Microsoft Ignite conference.
According to the tech giant, the two companies "have made rapid progress in reliable quantum computing by creating and entangling 24 logical qubits made from neutral atoms," the highest on record.
During the event, Microsoft presented many other new products and features, such as an application platform named Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Analytics which measures artificial intelligence (AI) impact on a customer's business, and Windows 365 Link, the firm's first Cloud PC device.
