Fresh US strikes on Yemen reported

The United States has carried out two strikes targeting Yemen's western port city of Hodeidah, local media reported, following Saturday's attacks that claimed 53 lives.

No further information was immediately available. Saturday's "powerful" strikes, which the White House said killed multiple Houthi leaders, prompted Russia to stress "the need for an immediate cessation of the use of force and the importance for all sides to engage in political dialogue."

The attacks also sparked reactions from Iran and Hamas, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi calling on the US to "stop the killing of Yemeni people."
