Elon Musk in an interview with Fox News warned that the United States is at risk of financial collapse, noting his concerns about the country going bankrupt.

"If we don't do anything about it, the ship of America is gonna sink," he told the media outlet, reminding the public that all Americans are "on that ship."

Musk also touched on his role in US President Donald Trump's administration, where he leads the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), created to reduce federal spending. He credited Trump with creating conditions that allow for a potential turnaround, claiming that "fixing" the country is "only possible because of President Trump."
