North Korea's Permanent Mission to the United Nations dismissed the allegations that Pyongyang deployed thousands of troops to Russia as "dirty maneuvers" by the United States and its proxies.

The US and its allies want to "mask their crimes" by sending lethal weapons to Ukraine, the first secretary of North Korea's mission to the UN Il Ha-kim stated. He added that Ukraine is guilty of "systematic violations" of international law on Russian territory.

Moscow and Pyongyang have so far not confirmed that there are North Korean troops on Russian territory. At the same time, South Korea said Russia intends to deploy 12,000 North Korean soldiers to the frontlines in Ukraine by late October.
