Kim Yo-jong, sister of North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un, warned on Saturday that the Washington Declaration will "only result in making peace and security of Northeast Asia and the world be exposed to more serious danger." The declaration was signed between United States President Joe Biden and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, outlining the commitment by the US to respond to an attack from North Korea.
Kim called the agreement "the most hostile and aggressive will of action" against North Korea, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). She also commented on Biden's statement that any attack from Pyongyang would mean the end of its regime, saying that it was a "nonsensical remark" from a person who "is not at all capable of taking the responsibility for security and the future of the US."
