NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg tweeted on Tuesday that the organization is "monitoring the situation and Allies are closely consulting," with regard to the latest missile explosions that took place on the Polish ground.
Stoltenberg stressed the importance of establishing all the facts before moving forward. The NATO chief noted that he spoke about the issue with Polish President Andrzej Duda offering his condolences.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that the missiles were fired by Moscow, while Russian officials underscored that the country had nothing to do with it. Meanwhile, Poland announced that it is currently considering the activation of NATO Article 4 so as to consult on the topic of a possible threat.
