NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told the alliance's Parliamentary Assembly on Monday that member states have not delivered promised air defense aid to Ukraine and that European allies have not supplied "anything close" to the previously agreed 1 million rounds of ammunition.
Stoltenberg blamed these failures for the fact that "the situation on the ground is difficult," citing Russia's recent deadly attacks in Kharkiv. He advocated for long-term defense commitments for Ukraine, as well as a more active role for NATO in coordinating aid, arguing that allies need a "firmer, stronger institutionalized structure for support."
