When asked by reporters who should get more credit for the hostage and ceasefire deal in Gaza, United States President Donald Trump or his predecessor, Joe Biden, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Trump "added great force and powerful leadership to this effort."

"He sent a very good emissary, he's helped it along," Netanyahu said of Trump. He then added that he supports getting "all the hostages out and meeting all" of Israel's war goals. The goals include "destroying Hamas' military and governing capabilities and making sure that Gaza never poses a threat to Israel ever again," Netanyahu stressed.
