Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday addressed the people of Iran in a video message, ensuring that their country will be free "a lot sooner than people think" and stressing that when that moment comes, "the Jewish people and the Persian people will finally be at peace."

In a message shared on X, Netanyahu slammed the Iranian leadership over pushing the Middle East region "deeper into darkness and deeper into war" and backing militant groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas. "With every passing moment, the regime is bringing you - the noble Persian people - closer to the abyss," he emphasized.

Furthermore, the prime minister pointed out that "Israel stands" with the Iranian people and urged them not to allow "a small group of fanatic theocrats" to destroy their "hopes and dreams."
