There are "no unresolved national security concerns" regarding a Chinese firm's investment in a United States-based airplane manufacturer, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the US (CFIUS) has ruled, according to The Wall Street Journal's report released on Tuesday.

A company from Shanghai, allegedly linked to the Chinese government, had obtained a nearly 47% stake in Icon Aircraft Inc.

Icon Aircraft's American investors had sought the investigation after accusing the Chinese company of moving technology that could end up in the hands of the military of the People's Republic.
