House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, expressed her disappointment at missing the vote to remove Representative Kevin McCarthy from the speakership, her spokesperson confirmed.
"Sadly, Speaker Pelosi is grieving the loss of her dear friend Dianne Feinstein and will remain in San Francisco for the next few days to participate in official memorials and pay tribute to Feinstein's towering legacy," Pelosi's communications director, Aaron Bennett wrote in a statement.
