Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz (pictured) said on Wednesday at a press conference that the country is ready to strengthen its military presence at the border with Belarus.

The comment comes following an incident in which a Polish soldier was stabbed by a migrant attempting to cross the border. At the same conference, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk underlined that "there is no room for negotiations on the border."

"Today we decided, together with the Military Command, that we will activate all means in terms of logistics, equipment and legal measures to ensure that your service here is safe," he went on to say.
