    Rubio calls Venezuelan govt 'narcotrafficking organization'

    The candidate for the next United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio blasted on Wednesday the government of Venezuela as a "narcotrafficking organization" during his confirmation hearing before the Senate.

    Rubio criticized the administration of outgoing US President Joe Biden for entering into negotiations with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro whom he accused of election fraud.

    Furthermore, Rubio voiced his concern over Russian and Iranian presence in Venezuela which he said is a security concern for Washington.
