Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that Moscow intends to finish its campaign in Ukraine "in the foreseeable future. He stated Russia hopes that "in the coming days, in the foreseeable future, the operation will achieve its goals or end with negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations."

Commenting on the ban on Russian coal imposed by the European Union, Peskov said the coal intended for export into the EU will be redirected to alternative markets. He also rejected the EU's claim paying for Russian gas in rubles would circumvent Western sanctions, noting EU companies "have already received the necessary clarifications."
