Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Saudi Arabian counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud had a telephone conversation in which they discussed a series of bilateral topics, the former's department stated on Wednesday.
The ministry's statement read that the two officials paid "special attention" to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its partners' (OPEC+) cooperation and activities. It also noted that Lavrov thanked Rhiyad for taking a "constructive position" and making efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
Back in August, Russia and Saudi Arabia promised to stay "firmly committed" to OPEC+'s goals and dedicated to ensuring stability in the energy market.
