Russian Armed Forces are clearing out the remnants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from the suburban areas of Avdiivka, Ukraine, TASS reported, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Russian troops engaged pockets of remaining Ukrainian resistance in the suburban areas of Avdiivka, in an effort to complete the takeover of the city. The ministry also reported that the Avdiivka Coke Plant had been entirely "liberated" of Ukrainian forces that took up defensive positions inside.

."Russian flags have been hoisted on the administrative buildings of the plant," the ministry stated, as most of the AFU that defended the city withdrew to fortified positions north of Avdiivka.
