Russia shells downtown Kharkiv on Friday - mayor

Russian forces launched missile strikes on Kharkiv early on Friday, Mayor Ihor Terekhov announced on his Telegram channel.

Two projectiles struck the ground hitting a two-story house and a university, both in the city center, according to Terekhov. "The State Emergency Service is already working the scene - they are sorting out the rubble, looking for people under it," the official wrote, noting that there are no known casualties as of now.
