China's central bank keeps MLF rate unchanged at 2.5%

The People's Bank of China (PBoC) decided to keep its one-year medium-term lending facility (MLF) loan rate at 2.5% on Wednesday.

The bank's decision to keep the rate unchanged on 125 billion yuan in one-year MLF loans aligned with forecasts.

The PBoC also injected two billion yuan via its seven-day reverse repurchase program at an interest rate of 1.8%.

The People's Bank of China (PBoC) decided to keep its key interest rates unchanged in February, maintaining the 1-year loan prime rate at 3.1% and the 5-year rate at 3.6%. The rates remain unchanged since the last cut in October, when both were lowered by 25 basis points.
