The Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed on Monday that Moscow is not going to transfer control over the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to anyone, particularly not to a third party.
In a statement for RIA Novosti, Zakharova insisted that the plant's location is now within Russia's borders and that "there can be no talk" of Moscow relinquishing control over it.
Earlier this month, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi voiced his concerns about apparent disagreements over who is in charge of the ZNPP having a negative effect on nuclear safety.
