Russian, US top diplomats discuss Syrian crisis

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson discussed the settlement of the Syrian crisis and ways to step up the efforts in fight against terrorism, Russian news agency Tass reported on Tuesday.

Two ministers discussed over the telephone problems related to Syrian crisis, including the necessity to strengthen the ceasefire,  push for firmer actions against terrorists and prevent attempts to use chemical weapons. Lavrov also called on Washington to help prevent provocations against Syrian government troops who are fighting terrorist.

Israel says Syrian mortar bombed as response
For the second time in a week, Israel Defense Forces said on Friday they attacked Syrian troops loyal to President Bashar al-Assad as a projectile landed in the occupied Golan Heights. "Moments ago, an errant projectile from internal fighting in Syria hit an open area in the Northern Golan Heights.
