Kiev mayor Vitaly Klitschko said on Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin's attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure are misrepresented as "the destruction of Ukraine" in Russia. "If anything, Putin is a liar. From the beginning, this is not a special military operation. It’s not a war - war has rules; you never touch women or children. It’s genocide," he told the Telegraph.
Klitschko also spoke about the living conditions in the capital and Ukraine in general, conceding that "this winter will definitely be a huge challenge for us." He said that the Kiev administration secured generators and mobile heating points but asked for more foreign aid, including blankets, winter clothes and generators. However, he insisted Ukraine also needs more weapons, stating that "enough is enough when the war is over."
