South Korean police launched on Thursday an investigation into bomb threats made on the website of the German Embassy in Seoul.
The Namdaemun Police Station detailed that since August 22, close to 100 threatening messages were posted on the website and were written as inquiries in German, Japanese, and Korean. In the posts, it was said that explosives would be installed in the embassy and that Seoul Station and Asan Medical Center would be blown up.
The police said it already checked the aforementioned locations for explosives earlier today but found nothing, adding that currently, the focus is on tracking the IP addresses from which the threats were made.
