Saudi Arabia Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman (pictured) called for an end of hostilities in the Gaza Strip during his telephone conversation with British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps.
"I stressed the need to protect civilians and allow unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid," the Saudi defense minister said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The four-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is expected to begin on Friday morning. It is expected that humanitarian aid will be delivered to the Palestinian enclave during the truce hours.
