German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Saturday confirmed that the delivery of European fighter jets to Turkey remains on schedule, with the UK taking the lead in the process.

Scholz acknowledged that Germany and Turkey have different views on the Middle East conflict, specifically rejecting the accusation of "genocide" against Israel, stating that it is unfounded. He emphasized Israel's right to defend itself but noted the importance of de-escalation.

The Chancellor also reiterated the need for a credible political process leading to a two-state solution.
