Schumer: What is Trump hiding?

United States Democrat and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (pictured) said on Monday that Democrats have proposed four more witnesses to testify in the impeachment case against the US President Donald Trump. He noted that those personas have direct knowledge of the reason why the aid to Ukraine was delayed. "The President has offered nothing exculpatory to prove us wrong. What is he hiding?" asked Schumer.

He noted he spoke with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell two weeks ago and he afterward went publicly on Fox Television by saying that he intends to work with the White House on the impeachment inquiry. Schumer called this step "very unfair" and stated he sent the letter to him and other senators yesterday proposing a trial on January 7.

Schumer stressed that there are still some Republican senators who believe there isn't enough evidence. "We believe that those who are witnessing is evidence enough." He added that there will be no stalling and that they are "interested in just the fact, not the conspiracy theories" said Schumer.
