European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security Maros Sefcovic shared on Monday that the European Union remains "ready" to make a "fair" trade agreement with the United States.
"The EU remains constructive and ready for a fair deal - including reciprocity through our 0-for-0 tariff offer on industrial goods and the work on non-tariff barriers. Achieving this will require a significant joint effort on both sides," he mentioned in a post on X.
Sefcovic is visiting Washington to negotiate on the matter. He confirmed that he held a meeting with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.
