Twitter Inc.'s new CEO Elon Musk shared on his social media account that the communication platform's mission is "to become by far the most accurate source of information about the world."

In a series of tweets, the billionaire explained his dedication to free speech goes as far as "not banning the account following my plane, even though that is a direct personal safety risk." Nevertheless, he warned that any users doing impersonations will be "permanently suspended" if they fail to "clearly specify" that they are doing a parody.

Musk further went on to say that he believes the widespread verification will assist in democratizing "journalism & [will help] empower the voice of the people."
