Tesla Inc cut the prices of three of its electric vehicles. The company has reduced the price of the Model Y Long Range AWD by 9.1% to $49,990, the Model Y Performance by 8.5% to $53,990, and the Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive by 7% to $39,990.

According to the Tesla website, the cuts amount to a $3,000 reduction in price for both the Model Y Long Range and the Model Y Performance.

The price cuts come amid competition in the electric vehicle market and as automakers began offering more affordable options for consumers.
