Tesla Inc.'s Chinese branch revealed on Monday in a notice that the full self-driving (FSD) feature is coming to the country as soon as the regulatory approval process is completed.

"Dear owners, Tesla's smart driving in China has gained attention. Thanks for your support. Per new regulations, we're upgrading FSD software for HW3 [Hardware 3] and HW4 [Hardware 4]. Once approved, it'll roll out to all. We appreciate your patience," the company wrote.

Previously, the carmaker announced a one-month-free FSD trial in China for selected users that was supposed to last from March 17 to April 16. The firm then allegedly paused it temporarily, without any explanations.
