United States President-elect Donald Trump nominated billionaire investor and co-chief executive of Cerberus Capital Management, Stephen Feinberg, to serve as deputy secretary of defense.

Feinberg, who served on Trump's intelligence advisory board during his first term, also holds a majority stake in Navistar Defense, a manufacturer of military vehicles. Additionally, Trump announced on Truth Social that he had picked Elbridge Colby, who "served with distinction in the Pentagon in my First Term," to serve as the undersecretary of defense for policy.
