Trump: Win for Speaker Johnson 'big win' for GOP

United States President-elect Donald Trump wished House Speaker Mike Johnson "good luck" ahead of the voting for the role he currently holds.

"A fine man of great ability, who is very close to having 100% support. A win for Mike today will be a big win for the Republican Party, and yet another acknowledgment of our 129-year most consequential Presidential Election!! - A BIG AFFIRMATION, INDEED. MAGA!," Trump exclaimed in a post on Truth Social.

The incoming US president previously endorsed Johnson.
