United Kingdom Foreign Secretary David Cameron on Tuesday commented on the new wave of airstrikes carried out by London and Washington against Houthi targets in Yemen overnight, stressing that the group's continued attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea are "illegal" and "unacceptable."

In an interview with BBC, Cameron emphasized that following the initial actions taken by the United States and Britain aimed at degrading Houthi capabilities earlier this month, the group launched more than twelve attacks. The foreign secretary also noted that the four RAF Typhoons joined Washington's military action last night.

Cameron noted that the attack on the Houthi targets in Yemen proved that London and Washington would "back their words with action."
