Inflation in Japan stood at 3.3% on an annual basis in February, according to a report by the Statistics Bureau on Friday. The reading was lower than analysts' expectations. In January, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) came to 4.1%.
Core inflation, the CPI excluding fresh food, was reported at 3.1%. The CPI excluding fresh food and energy was at 3.5%, rising at the fastest pace since January 1982.
