The United States gymnastics team got first and third place in the female all-around, individual category at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Wednesday, with the star of the team, Simone Biles, securing her second gold Olympic medal of her career in this category.
Biles got a considerable advantage over the other competitors, getting a remarkable total punctuation of 59.131 in the four exercises. She got 15.766 points vault, 14.566 in the balance beam, 13.733 in the uneven bars, and 15.066 in the floor exercise. Besides being part of the US group which also won first place in the women's artistic gymnastics team in Paris, Biles got her second individual medal, as she did it also in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
The silver medal went to Brazilian Rebeca Andrade, with 57.932 points, and the bronze medal to US Sunisa Lee, with 56.465 points.
