The US Embassy in Jerusalem issued a security alert for American citizens in the city, citing increased security risks due to recent events.

The alert references the interception of a ballistic missile launched by Yemen's Houthi rebels toward Israel, which triggered air raid sirens in Jerusalem and central Israel. No casualties were reported from the missile attack.

Additionally, the embassy highlighted ongoing large-scale demonstrations in Jerusalem protesting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to dismiss Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. The embassy advised US citizens to remain vigilant, avoid large gatherings, and stay updated on local developments.
